    All About Antioch Park

Antioch Park in Johnson County is well kept up with an assortment of things for both parents and kids to do to keep them entertained. Inside the park, there is a rose garden, beautifully maintained trails, two ponds (with three water features), picnic areas, and a playground.

There are four pavilions that you can use and reserve for family gathering. You'll just need to sign up via the city's park site.

The park is beautiful in the fall, with the leaves changing. You'll often find photographers taking photos of families because of how beautiful the trees turn during fall days.

The city changes the upper playground every 10 to 15 years, which allows for beautiful upgrades that the kids will love.

    Trails and Pathways

The trails and pathways are absolutely beautiful at this park. So much so, you'll see photographers taking photos in the spring and fall.

The bridges are beautifully maintained. This was an iron bridge we walked across.

    Stepping Stones at Antioch Park

These stepping stones are a great water feature that kids of all ages love to step on. You'll definitely need to be careful with little ones, but the water isn't deep in these areas.

These stepping stones are so much fun with the kids. The water isn't deep, but you'll probably want to watch your toddlers as they walk across.

    Playground for Older Kids

There are three playgrounds for kids to choose from which are all near each other. They are well maintained and also enclosed for parents who need to keep a watchful eye.

    Dodge Town

Dodge Town is a play area for kids inside of Antioch Park that has a miniature western theme. It is one of the most popular parks in the Johnson County area.

This park is great for groups with both older kids and younger ones because it's next to other playground areas for both younger and older kids, if you are trying to keep track of where the kids are. My kids absolutely love this area and I love it because I can keep a close eye on them.

They completed the renovations in April 2018s. Reviews showcase that this one of the best parks in the Kansas City mentro areas.

    Nature

There are a ton of different animals you are able to see at the park including ducks, geeze, and turtles. You can also do catch-and-release fishing in their beautiful ponds.

    Summary

Dodge Town in Johnson County is a really fun park that kids of all ages would love. If you are in the Kansas City metro area and are looking for a free and fun place to hang out with the kids, this is a great picturesque place that families will love.
