After a long day of exploring or fishing at the lake, everyone enjoys relaxing by the pool or splashing around. Additionally, several of these properties have private docks for fishing, which has become a favorite pastime for the kids and adults alike. With a group as large as ours, parking is always a concern, especially with five vehicles. Fortunately, all the VRBOs we’ve stayed at have had ample parking space for multiple vehicles. Osage VRBO with Private Pool, Pool Table, Outdoor Fireplace
In 2021, we stayed at this fantastic VRBO, and it quickly became a family favorite. The property features an incredible pool overlooking the lake, offering breathtaking views, especially during the fireworks displays over the water.
Situated in an open lake area, it provides a serene atmosphere, though something to consider if you prefer more sheltered spots. The location is convenient, and the hosts are exceptionally welcoming, with a reputation for owning and maintaining several other great properties in the area.
VRBO Lake of the Ozarks Grand Retreat
This stunning 8,000 sq. ft. lakefront home offers the perfect setting for a family reunion. This stunning lakeside home is a dream retreat for families or large groups, offering both luxury and fun in equal measure. The private heated pool is the centerpiece of the outdoor space, providing hours of enjoyment from early spring through mid-fall. The outdoor kitchen is a standout feature, equipped with a wood-burning pizza oven, EVO grill, and ample counter space—perfect for creating delicious meals while enjoying lake views. Evenings by the lakeside firepit were a highlight, with the warmth of the fire paired with the serene sound of the water.
Inside, the home is designed for both comfort and entertainment. The spacious kitchen, complete with double ovens and plenty of prep space, made it easy to cook for our group. The adjacent three-season room with a built-in gas grill was a favorite spot for dining while taking in the views. The lower-level game room was a hub of activity every evening, with its pool table, arcade games, and bar area creating the perfect setting for family fun. The large patio doors open to an expansive deck, offering breathtaking views of the cove, pool, and main channel.
The thoughtful design continues in the bedrooms, each equipped with a television for added comfort. Four of the seven bedrooms boast lake views, and the hot tub on the covered porch was the perfect place to unwind regardless of the weather. With ample parking, a large dock for boats and jet skis, and close proximity to golfing, restaurants, and groceries, this home provided everything we needed for an unforgettable lakeside getaway. It’s truly a place where relaxation and adventure come together seamlessly.
The fully equipped kitchen is a chef’s dream, boasting three ovens, a warming drawer, a large Sub-Zero fridge, and an expansive center island perfect for preparing group meals. Adjacent is a charming three-season room with a double Viking grill, a small fridge, and patio-style seating for nine. With multiple dining spaces, including a large formal dining room and eat-in kitchen, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy meals together.
The home's design is awe-inspiring, with 40-foot ceilings, sweeping stairs, and a wall of windows overlooking the lake. Outside, the property shines with a 2,000+ sq. ft. patio featuring a pool and hot tub surrounded by updated furniture and panoramic lake views. A private boat dock with a large swim platform and a nearby cove ideal for tubing and skiing add to the outdoor appeal.
While the house was incredibly spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of 20, there were a few minor downsides. The living room could use more seating, and the bathroom configurations felt a bit tight for a large group. That said, the pool and patio area more than made up for it, providing plenty of tables, chairs, and unforgettable views. Watching the full Strawberry Moon from the poolside was an absolute highlight of our trip!
Overall, this property provided an amazing stay for our family and offered everything needed for a memorable getaway.
VRBO Cove Haven Retreat
This lakefront estate is the perfect getaway for families, offering a spacious layout, endless amenities, and a fantastic location. The heated pool was a standout feature during our stay, especially for the kids, who spent hours swimming and splashing, rain or shine. The home is nestled in a quiet cove, making it an ideal spot for families with little ones to enjoy the water safely.
With seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the house is incredibly spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. The gourmet kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, made preparing meals for our group effortless, while the large screened-in porch was perfect for family dinners overlooking the lake.
The addition of the pickleball court in summer 2024 is a bonus for sports enthusiasts, and the private dock with boat and wave runner slips, along with the paddleboat and kayak, offers endless recreational opportunities. Whether roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, playing games in the finished lower level, or enjoying the serene lake views, this estate is designed for unforgettable family memories.
Serene Shores Retreat at the Lake
This stunning waterfront home provided endless fun and excitement for our family, especially the kids. They couldn’t get enough of making s’mores by the outdoor firepit, sharing stories and laughter under the stars. The highlight of their lake adventures was jumping off the swim platform's high dive and racing up the ladder to do it all over again. The private dock and quiet cove location made it easy to relax and let the kids explore safely.
The pool was another favorite spot, with its kid-friendly zero-entry shallow end perfect for little ones. It quickly became the gathering place for family games and lazy afternoons soaking in the sun. Fishing off the private dock was phenomenal—our kids reeled in plenty of catches and couldn’t stop talking about their “biggest fish of the day.” The kayak was a bonus, giving everyone a chance to paddle around and enjoy the peaceful cove.
Inside, the house was just as impressive. The chef’s kitchen with dual sinks, dishwashers, and three full-sized fridges made meal prep a breeze, even for our large group. The spacious dining setup and covered porch overlooking the pool gave us plenty of room to eat and enjoy the view. With smart TVs, a ping pong table, and the upcoming pickleball court, this home truly has something for everyone. It was the perfect place for creating unforgettable memories.
